Licensed Real Estate Salesperson

About Erik

Erik Heitz is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson with over 8 years of NYC real estate experience and over 300 transactions under his belt. Erik’s passion for understanding the story behind his client’s move, organizing their priorities for their home, educating on the process, commiting to communication, creative problem-solving, and his impeccable attention to detail are what keeps his clients (and their referrals) coming back with their NYC real estate needs.

Erik is widely known among his network as a value expert; from reward-travel via credit cards to best value on Broadway show tickets, massages, happy hours, meals and more--- this skill (or perhaps obsession) extends to his real estate transactions; he knows value. He is a comparative market analysis expert and always advises his clients to get the best value from their time, energy, and money. He cares not just where they live or what their budgets are, but more importantly, why they live there and how they wish to live their lives this complex city.

Before jumping in headfirst into real estate in 2017 Erik worked as a theatre professional across 38 states, and 4 countries; experiences ranged from performing in musicals on land and sea to directing, producing, and designing shows, and was hired by two prestigious programs at George Washington University in DC and University of Texas in Austin.

Hailing originally from St. Louis, Missouri Erik grew up as both an accomplished athlete and star in the theatre world. His two theatre degrees (BFA Musical Theatre Performance & BTA in Stage Management/Directing) from the esteemed University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and Fordham University’s London Dramatic Academy (Shakespeare/British Theatre) taught him personal one-on-one experience, close attention to detail, an organized and disciplined practice, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, multifaceted, collaborative environment—much needed skills in the always-hustling NYC real estate market. Training as an actor with Disney (including Disney University) coupled with time living in Ecuador, Canada and The Bahamas, Erik was exposed to a variety of languages, cultures, and different mindsets.

His current hobbies include: playing, coaching, and volunteering with NYC’s Gotham Volleyball, yoga, planning ski and scuba trips with friends, camping in the Pocono Mountains, practicing Spanish, boating in the Finger lakes (wine country!), hosting craft, movie/TV and game nights, volunteering with The Broadway Green Alliance, and thrift shopping.

Erik truly believes that the world of NYC real estate is due for more humanity, technology, integrity, transparency, information, and compassion—we thrive better as a city of supportive communities, not disjointed, dishonest competitors.
